Klakonian
Four months ago the Klakonian Protectorate established a new colony on the third planet of the Morovia system. Over ten million Klakonians were set to work creating another paradise world. Last month, however, Morovia III reported the approach of a fleet of ships. That was the last heard from the colony.
Senior Big Boss Gorgonzola, commander of the 2nd Reaction Fleet decided to go to Morovia to find out what had happened. Approaching Morovia III his flagship, the Renown, detected a group of nineteen unknown ships. Gorgonzola immediately ordered his fleet to battle stations and closed on the new enemy.
Warlord
Two months ago a probe ship from Expansion Force 2A entered a new system, temporarily designated Target-21. There, an outpost of an unknown alien race was found on a moon of the third planet. Knowing that all aliens were enemies, the scout ship sent word to the local Dominator fleet that a cleansing was necessary.
Dominator of Worlds Thomas H quickly brought his combat force into the Target-21 system. The pitiful aliens offered no resistance, and died quickly. He then signaled for Expansion Force 2A to enter and survey the system.
Just over a month after the cleansing of Target-21, a group of warships was detected closing on Force H. Almost gleeful at the though of eradicating another group of aliens, the Dominator ordered his ships forward.
| Scenario Background |
|---|
This scenario was proposed as a learning tool for one of the players in the Far Reaches Campaign. The campaign was at Month 14, and the player had not yet played any tactical games. The Space Master, therefore, organized a demonstration game. Each player was to create a fleet for a head-on battle.
| Klakonian Player: | David H. Ternes |
| Warlord Player: | Thomas Higginbotham, David Hannigan (tactical advisor) |
| Game Master: | Ken Buchs |
The scenario was intended to be a fight between an invading fleet and a somewhat smaller fleet reacting in defense of its colonies. Due to an error on the part of the attacking player, the defending fleet actually has about a 6:5 advantage.

| Special Rules |
|---|
The Warlord player used Presser Missiles without a Presser Missile Guidance System. During the game the missiles were erroneously fired as if they had the (RpG) present.
If the Warlord force had been as large as planned, the Presser Missiles could be used according to the TL3 rules. However, given the error which caused the Warlord fleet to be much smaller than intended, the Presser Missile equipped ships should be allowed to fire as if they had (RpG) mounted.
| Setup |
|---|
The forces start on opposite sides of the Tactical Map. Each force counts fifteen hexes out from the center hex of the map. They were allowed to set up anywhere at or behind that point.
The fleet positions and arrangements shown are those used in the original game.
