Errata

This section contains comments based on experience gained from use of the arrows.

Head Taping (Steps 4.d & 7.a) ^ Contents ^

The order of applying the tape to the head of the arrow may be modified to reduce the tendency for the Group Markings to be damaged. This is done by reversing the application of the Group Markings and head wrapping tape so that the tape joints face away from the direction of travel. The following steps begin in Step 4.d (Head Covering) after the red tape has been applied over the top of the head of the arrow, but before the red tape is placed on the side of the head.

  a. Measure 8-1/4" down from the top of the arrow head. Mark this point.

  b. Apply the Group Markings (Step 7.a) starting at the mark with the color farthest from the arrow head, and go up the arrow. Overlap the Markings by about 1/4".

  c. Apply the red tape on the head with the lower piece being placed first.
