The Indiana Escadrille |
|
|
In mid 1916, deep in the heart of the midwestern United States, a group of young, idealistic, imaginative, full of life, and not-to-bright boys set off to distant Europe to fight for truth, justice, and the American way of life. In France they join the French Army as aviation cadets. Soon, they are assigned to a first-class front line fighter squadron, where they heroically face the might of the finest pilots in the German Air Service, and, being young, idealistic, imaginative, and not-to-bright American boys, of course, they triumph. No! ... Wait! ... That was the second-rate plot of a second-rate World War I inspired Hollywood movie (Flyboys). That's not the story here.
