Adding The Real World
The Comments section makes a number of comparisons between battlemechs and the real world. So, requests came in to show how the "real world" would function within the Battletech FASAverse. This section gives that a try.
Criteria:
- The vehicle construction rules will not be used. Weapons, equipment, armor, etc. on a unit will be based on what the actual vehicle carries.
- Basic Battletech logic for weapons will not apply. The actual performance of weapons will be used. New rules will be added or existing rules modified as needed.
- Speeds (Cruising and Flank) will be based on the effects of speeds on weapon accuracy, not on an arbitrary (x 1.5) formula.
Special Rules:
Each vehicle may have Special Rules which apply to its unique situation. There is also a set of Real World Rules which apply to the "real world" designs.
