Background
Christoph began life as the second son of a freeman farmer outside the town of Norham on the River Tweed. Life was unremarkable until he was eight years old. At that time a young nobleman (at least so it seemed to his parents) offered to buy him as a servant. The silver offered was too much of a temptation, and they agreed. The "nobleman" was Duncan Quickwit of House Tremare. He had noted Christoph's intelligence and interest in learning things. He planned on training the boy as a servant and a scribe. This he did, with Christoph learning much beside his apprentice, Domnall mac Sernach. Domnall and Christoph become good friends. Later, when Duncan was killed, the Primus of the Covenant of Horsingas sent them on a mission to the Covenant of Loch Laggan.
Description
Christoph is a fair haired, fair skinned young man of average height and build. He is not particularly notable from most other Scotsmen of his age. He generally wears common clothes, although he thinks of himself as a scholar. When not otherwise engaged, he may be found reading a book. Although he loves books, he also fears them, as he once had a dream in which he saw himself killed (he believes) when he opened a book upon which a spell had been case. Therefore, as much as he loves books, he is very careful around any which he has not seen other people open or read.

| Autumn 1067 |
Arrived at the covenant of Loch Laggan in the Loch Leglean Tribunal with Domnall and Coenrad. Compared to the Covenant of Horsingas this place is rather unimpressive, but livable. The quarters are not so great. The underground laboratory spaces are acceptable. However, the library is very good, and should be an interesting place to spend a good bit of time.
Spent the season helping to set up a lab at the covenant. |
| Winter 1067 |
Duplicated Domnall's copying of spells so that we have written copies of all his work at the covenant.
[Annual Experience: Dodge, Quarterstaff Attack, Bow.] |
| Spring 1067 |
Was asked by Marcus of House Tytalus to help with a group from the covenant which was going to check on a problem in a village on covenant lands. As most of the magi were away looking into the mysterious monolith found a few months ago, only Marcus, his companion Luke, myself, plus William and Ethelbreth (a companion and a grog for Edgar) were around. We went on what became known as the expedition to the The Faerie Temple. [Adventure Experience: Aletness, Faerie Lore.]
Season still active. |
