Mystic Halls Campaign
Covenant of Ebudæ |
|
Campaign Background
The Covenant of Ebudæ (pronounced E-boo-day) was originally defined simply as the place from which Athlon of the Black Staff came. Not one to leave well-enough alone, Rob Gray, the creator, decided to flesh out some of the covenant's information. This was done in the expectation that Ebudæ would become a location around which to center some adventures set in Ireland. Observant readers will note that the layout of the covenant's buildings and tower bear a remarkable likeness to the abbey described in the book The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. While this structure is a bit advanced for typical Irish castles in the Ars Magica period, it was so well described and had such an interesting appearance, that it was allowed by the Campaign Master. |
