Lost Characters

Basil Fieryhand of House Flambeau

Basil Fieryhand is the oldest of the player character magi at the Covenant of the Mystic Halls. This was the first character created in the campaign, and the character was active until 1997. Basil's troupe consisted of a warrior companion plus a number of warrior grogs. Unfortunately, the exit of the player (who was also the Campaign Master) from the campaign meant the loss of almost all the information about this character. The Current Status for Basil Fieryhand has been assigned by the current Campaign Master to explain his disappearance from the campaign.

Veritus the Letter Writer of House Tytalus

Veritus was brought into the campaign as part of the introduction of the Covenant of Summer Snows in the Novograd Tribunal. He was a refounding member of that covenant, and the self appointed leader of that covenant. Although living in Russia, much of his adventuring time was spent in England at the Covenant of the Mystic Halls, and eventually he established a laboratory in the city of Manchester. Over the course of nine (game) years the character succeeded in alienating himself from every character at Mystic Halls. He only avoided an outright murder by quietly leaving the area.

All of the background of Veritus was lost when the player left the campaign. What little is remembered is summarized here for the records.

Katrina of House Ex Miscellanea

Katrina was another character introduced with the Covenant of Summer Snows. She had been trained as a member of House Diedne, and was about to end her apprenticeship when a jealous Flambeau imprisoned her in a magical flame in his laboratory. Soon after that, the Covenant of Summer Snows was effectively destroyed by members of the Order of Odin, possibly backed by the Snow Queen. Katrina remained trapped in the flame for hundreds of years, until freed by Austin Trelain of House Jerbiton in 1231, as part of the rediscovery of Summer Snows. When Austin found that the young magus was of House Diedne, he counseled her to remain silent about this, and declare for House Ex Miscellanea to protect herself (Austin's player knew that the character was supposed to be introduced into the adventure, and played along with it). Katrina was apparently cut off from Mystic Halls when the portal between Mystic Halls and Summer Snows was destroyed.

All of the material for Katrina was lost when the player left the campaign.
